Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club

CVATC was pleased to participate in the Day of Caring conducted on May 1, 2009 by the United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County. Volunteers from the community worked to shore up a low lying section of the AT footpath that becomes muddy in wet weather. They dug trenches, built up the path and hauled shale that was placed on the footpath. CVATC is deeply grateful for the work of these volunteers.
