We are excited to share that Keystone Trails Association has been awarded a $500,000 Tourism Product Development Grant from the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) through the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau.

This funding will support the transformation of Scott Farm in Carlisle into a welcoming visitor center, outdoor recreation hub serving the Appalachian Trail, Conodoguinet Creek Water Trail, and KTA headquarters. Planned improvements include a renovated visitor center, enhanced parking and signage, a water filling station, and other amenities for hikers, paddlers, volunteers, and visitors. CVATC and KTA are partners in this project.

We are especially grateful to the Central Pennsylvania Conservancy, whose generous support and partnership have been instrumental in helping make this project possible. We also thank CAEDC and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau for their investment in this exciting vision, and we look forward to sharing our progress as Scott Farm becomes a premier destination for outdoor recreation.

This is exciting news! I haven't been hiking much as of late because of a busy life but the memories of past hikes and looking forward to more amazing hikes is a wonderful thing. Hiking is in my blood and it's still my dream to walk the entire trail but it doesn't have to be all at one time.
Thanks for posting this!
